Bob Pettit

Bob Pettit was an All-Star in all eleven of his NBA seasons, winning the league MVP award twice.  He also won an NBA Championship, earned a Rookie of the Year award, and earned a spot in the National Basketball Hall of Fame.  He's one of the greatest players to have ever stepped on a court.  Thanks, Bob!

Brett Butler

Brett Butler played for five teams over 17 MLB seasons, making one All-Star team but finishing in the Top 25 in MVP voting six times.  He finished his career with a .290 batting average, 558 stolen bases, 1359 runs, and 2375 hits.  Ge signed both 1982 Topps Rookie Cards I sent him and the index card as well.  Thanks, Brett!

Bobby Valentine

Bobby Valentine managed the Mets to the 2000 NL Pennant.  He managed for 16 years and played in the Major Leagues for ten years as well.  He currently serves as the Athletic Director at Sacred Heart University.  Thanks, Bobby!

Doug Drabek

Doug Drabek started his career with the Yankees before winning a Cy Young award with the Pirates, representing the Astros in an All-Star Game, and finishing his career with the White Sox and Orioles.  Thanks, Doug!

Coby Fleener

Coby Fleener has over 3,000 receiving yards and has caught 22 Touchdowns in his first six years in the NFL.  He's been blessed with two great QBs in Drew Brees and Andrew Luck, though he is a free agent at the moment.  Thanks, Coby!

Chris Chambliss

One-time All-Star Chris Chambliss won two World Series and hit one of the iconic Home Runs in Yankees history.  He was later the hitting coach for four more World Series Championship teams in the Bronx.  Thanks, Chris!

Mr. Carl Erskine

Carl Erskine won a World Series and made an All-Star team in his 12 years with the Dodgers.  He played for them in both Brooklyn and L.A.  Carl is an awesome signer, and signed the card I sent him as well as the back of an index card!  Thanks, Carl!

Don Mattingly

This is a special one.  Don Mattingly was my favorite player when I first started following the Yankees in 1995.  Unfortunately, he retired after that year, after leading his team to the playoffs for the first time.  He's currently the manager for the Marlins.  A one-time AL MVP, Mattingly was named to six all-star teams and won a batting title.  The Yankee Captain hit .307 with 222 Home Runs and 1099 RBI over his 14 years in the league.  If you compare Mattingly's statistics with Kirby Puckett's statistics, it's startling that he didn't get more traction on the Hall of Fame ballot.  Thank you so much, Donnie Baseball!

Clay Bellinger

Clay Bellinger was a utility player for the great Yankees teams of 1999-2001 before finishing his career with one at bat with the Angels in 2002.  His son Cody, the 2017 NL Rookie of the Year, is now a star for the Dodgers.  Thanks, Clay!

Bruce Jenner

Bruce Jenner set the world record for the Decathlon, winning a gold medal for the United States at the 1976 Olympics.  He went on to even more fame and money for him and his family, and he recently decided to transition into a woman, Caitlyn Jenner.  Caitlyn has had her share of both accolades and controversy over the last several years.  Anyway, thanks, Caitlyn!

Geroge Seifert

George Seifert won two Super Bowls as Head Coach of the 49ers, one with Joe Montana at QB, and the other with Steve Young at QB.  This is in addition to the three Super Bowls he won as Defensive Coordinator for the 49ers.  He was a great coach for the franchise and also coached the Panthers for several years.  Thanks, George!

Jim Leyland

Jim Leyland led managed the Marlins to a World Series win in 1997 and later won two pennants with the Tigers.  He managed in the Major Leagues for 22 seasons and was named Manager of the Year thrice.  Thanks, Jim!

Todd Hollandsworth

Todd Hollandsworth won the Rookie of the Year Award for the NL in 1996, which was the same year Derek Jeter won it for the AL.  Jeter went on to win five World Series, and Hollandsworth went on to win a World Series in 2003 against Jeter's Yankees, as a member of the Marlins.  Now, Jeter owns the Marlins.  Literally.  Thanks, Todd!

Steve Atwater

Steve Atwater was one of the best Defensive Backs in football during his eleven-year NFL career, ten years of which he spent with the Broncos.  Atwater won two Super Bowls and was named to eight Pro Bowls.  Thanks, Steve!

Phil Garner
