James Stewart III

James Stewart's eight NFL seasons included two campaigns over 1,000 rushing yards, both of which were with the Lions.  Thanks, James!

One additional note about the blog is that (barring unsigned returns) there may not be another Monthly Failure Report until December, as I sent out very few requests from May through November of last year, and there are no outstanding requests that were sent during that time.

Chuck Hough

Charlie Hough threw the first pitch, recorded the first strikeout, and earned the first win in Marlins history.  The knuckleballer was 45 years old at the time.  I had never seen this card, commemorating that day in 1993, so I sent it to him and asked him to sign it.  Thanks, Charlie!

Danny Noonan

Danny Noonan played most of his six seasons with the Cowboys.  He won one Super Bowl and scored one regular season touchdown on an interception return.  He also had 15 sacks during his career, which is significantly less than he would get in a season when I regularly played as him on Defense in Tecmo Super Bowl.  Thanks, Danny!

Danny Fouts

The best thing to do when you find an old card of Hall of Fame QB Dan Fouts in the bargain bin at your local card shop is buy it, send it to him, and ask him to sign it.  Thanks again, Dan!

It would be silly if I came across a 1973 Topps Rookie Card of Hall of Famer Rich "Goose" Gossage and didn't ask him to sign it.  Thanks again, Goose!
