I'll call this one a success. Andy Messersmith wrote me a note saying the he's no longer signing, and he signed his first name. I would have preferred for him to sign his full name sans the note, and it would have been quicker for him, but it's all good. A four-time All-Star, Messersmith also won two Gold Gloves, compiling 130 Wins with a 2.86 ERA during his 12 MLB seasons. Thanks, Andy!
