Mike Schmidt batted .267 with 548 home runs and 1,595 RBI across 18 seasons with the Phillies. He won a World Series, three MVP awards, and ten Gold Glove awards. He was named to twelve All-Star teams and inducted into the National Baseball Hall of Fame. I don't believe he actually signed this card or the one I got back from him several years ago. It's technically a success since it came back signed, but it appears to be a ghost-signing situation. Honestly, if that's the case, I would rather a player didn't sign at all and either returned the card unsigned, kept it, or tossed it in the garbage.

What makes you think it was a ghost signature?
ReplyDeleteA lot of folks on the SCN and SCF websites with similar-looking signatures are saying these are ghost-signed and that Beckett, JSA, and PSA/DNA are not authenticating them.
